Stanisław Giłka was born on April 3 , 2002 in Szczecinek. He began his musical education in September 2009, at the age of 7 , at the 1st and 2nd degree O.Kolberg Music School in Szczecinek. He participated in many musical projects.
In 2018, he participated in the FIJO 2018 International Festival of Symphony Orchestras in Alicante in Spain as a member of the Amber Youth Orchestra . With the same symphony orchestra, he took part in orchestral workshops and symphonic concerts at the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk , the Koszalin Philharmonic and the FontaneHaus in Berlin. He also took part in the 2nd Orchestra Workshop of the Elliptique Ensemble in 2017. He also participed in a cello course as part of the Piła Festival & Academy 2020 and in a cello course as part of the Cello Academy in Nysa in 2022. In 2023 , he participed in the Lutosławski Youth Orchestra project . From September 2019, he additionally learned to play the double bass.
Currently, he is a grauduate of the above-mentioned Music School in Szczecinek, also on double , which he graduated in September 2022. From October 2021, he studies the direction - Instrumental studies , specialty - Cello under the supervision of dr. Krzysztof Karpeta at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wroclaw.From October 2021 to June 2022, he participated n the in the NFM Orchestra Academy. Since 2022, he has been playing in the piano trio - Wroclaw Piano Trio with which he has achieved numerous successes.He is also a laureate of many competitions and festivals such as the National Cello Confrontations (1st place -2010, 3rd place - 2012, 2nd place both in 2013 and 2014 and 3rd place in 2018), the 3rd National Cello nad Double Bass Tournament (3rd place, 2014), International String Instruments Competition (3rd place in 2019), International Festival in teh Baroque Style, Laureate& artistic personality of the competition in the 5th National Competition for violinists , violists, cellists and double bass players as part of the Forte Festival, IX Polish Meetings Double Bass (1st place, 2020) , participation in the 2nd stage of the 11th D.Danczowski Cello Competition 2023 or the Competition of Small Forms (1st place . 2023)
