Hanna Pozorska

Hanna started studying violin at the age of six. She graduated State Music School in Gdansk in 2022 as a student of professor Małgorzata Skorupa. Since 2022, Hanna is studying in Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw under the leading of Agata Szymczewska.

Hanna is prize winner of over 50 violin and chamber competitions in country and abroad. The greatest violin achievements in her life until now were:

  • Grand Prix - State Violin Competition organized by The Education of Art Center in (Katowice, Poland 2015)
  • 7th Prize - 13th International Russian Rotary Children Music Competition, (Moscow, Russia, 2015)
  • Grand Prix and Special Prize - 13th State Violin Competition in the name of Grazyna Bacewicz (Wroclaw, Poland, 2016)
  • 1st Prize and Special Prize - State Violin Competition in the name of A. Januszajtis (Gdansk, Poland, 2017)
  • 1st Prize - 7th Youth Violin Competition in memory of T. Wronski (Tomaszow Mazowiecki, Poland, 2018)
  • Grand Prix - 4th International Youth Music Competition „With Music through Europe” (Vilnius, Lithuania, 2018)
  • Grand Prix, Special Prize for G. Ph. Telemann solo violin fantasy - 3rd State Violin Competition in the name of Jadwiga Kaliszewska (Poznan, Poland, 2018)
  • 1st Prize - 6th State Violin Competition in the name of The Groblicze family (Cracow, Poland, 2019)
  • 1st Prize - 7th Violin Competition in the name of P. Janowski (Grudziadz, Poland, 2019)
  • 1st Prize, Special Prize for G. Ph. Telemann solo violin fantasy – XVIIth International Georg Philipp Telemann Violin Competition (Poznan, Poland, 2020)
  • Grand Prix and Special Prizes - State Music Competition ATMA (Zakopane, Poland, 2020)
  • 3rd Prize - State Violin Competiton CEA (Katowice, Poland, 2021)
  • The title of Finalist - Ysaye Junior International Music Competition (2022)
  • Grand Prix - IX Odin International Music Online Competition (2022)
  • 3rd Prize - 10th International Louis Spohr Violin Competition (Weimar, Germany, 2022)
  • 2nd Prize - 15th International Arthur Grumiaux Violin Competition (Brussels, Belgium, 2023)

Hanna performed at many concert halls in Poland, Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, Lithuania, Norway, Russia and United States of America.

During education she devoloped skills under the leading of great violinists: Alena Baeva, Maxim Vengerov, Midori Goto, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Timothy Chooi, Miriam Fried Biss, Mihaela Martin, Nikki Chooi, Krzysztof Jakowicz, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Bartłomiej Nizioł, Jan Stanienda, Tadeusz Gadzina, Weigang Li, Shanshan Yao.

Hanna played concerts as a soloist on many music festivals in country and abroad, for example : “Rockport Music Festival” in Rockport, USA, “Valdres Festival” in Norway, “Emanacje Festival” in The Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice, Poland, The 55th International Henryk Wieniawski Festival in Szczawno-Zdrój, Poland, “Musica - Ars Amanda” in Cracow, Poland, “Wawel Royal Castle at Dusk” in Cracow, Poland, “Young virtuosos in the Royal Castle” in Warsaw, Poland, “Muzyczna Korzkiew Festival” in Korzkiew, Poland, “Muzyczne Przestrzenie Festival” in Konin, Poland.

During the years from 2017 to 2022, Hanna participated in international program for young, talented musicians - Morningside Music Bridge in Boston, USA. Another of the very important musical experiences for her was playing in two years long Luslawicka Orchestra of Talented People and in Penderecki Youth Orchestra both under Krzysztof Penderecki patronage. She was there a concertmaster. She played concerts in Royal Castle in Warsaw, Shalin Liu Performance Center in USA, The Miralles Saal in Hamburg, Germany, Jordan Hall and Brown Hall in New England Conservatory in Boston. In USA she took part in Rockport Music Festival and „From The Top” – the radio program for talented musicians. She played solo recital during 55th International Henryk Wieniawski Music Festival in Szczawno Zdroj.

One of her greatest success was opening the 2020/2021 artistic season in The Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdansk playing Sibelius Violin Concerto with maestro George Tchitchinadze.

As a soloist she was performing with Polish Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra, Cracow Philharmonic orchestra, CORda Cracovia orchestra, “Accademia dell’Arco” orchestra, Radom Chamber Orchestra, Cappella Istropolitana Chamber Orchestra, orchestra Hochschule fur Musik „Franz Liszt”.

Hanna is proud to be stipendist of President of Gdansk, Minister of Culture, National Heritage in Poland in Young Poland 2018 programme and for great musical achievements, Polish Children’s Fund. In 2021, she won the Pomeranian Artistic Award in the category of Pomeranian Artistic Hope. She took part in project “Prezentacje” organised by The Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice, Poland.
