Anna Wąsik is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Music School in Wrocław, specializing in cello under the supervision of Tadeusz Melka. Currently, she is studying at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław under the guidance of Krzysztof Karpeta.
She has participated in cello courses and workshops both in Poland and abroad, attending classes led by, among others, Jelena Ocic, Justus Grimm, Mats Lidström, and Gary Hoffman.
Anna Wąsik is a laureate of national and international competitions, including the 10th Young Cellists Competition in Wrocław in 2010 (3rd place), the 12th Kazimierz Wiłkomirski International Cello Competition in Poznań in 2014 (3rd place), where she also received a special award for performing a piece by Kazimierz Wiłkomirski, and the Bohus Heran International Cello Competition in Usti nad Orlici in 2015 (2nd place). In 2017, she won the Grand Prix at the 12th National Competition of Young Instrumentalists in Jasło and took 2nd place at the 12th Cello Competition named after Jan Vychytil in Prague in 2018.
