Izabela Polakowska-Rybska

Izabela Polakowska-Rybska - graduated from the Music School of Karol Szymanowski in Wrocław in the violin class. She also graduated of the Wrocław Music Academy: the Department of Music Education in the conducting class of Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny and the Department of Composition, Conducting, Music Theory and Music Theraphy in the conducting class of Alan Urbanek.

In the years 2007-2012 she was the Assistant Conductor in the Medici Cantantes Choir of the Medical University in Wrocław. In the years 2010-2014 she led the Choir at the Zespół Szkół nr. 14 school in Wrocław. In 2012-2013, she was the Conductor and Artistic Supervisor of the Children's Choir of the Wrocław Opera. Since 2013, he has been a guest conductor-assistant in the Polish National Youth Choir. In 2013-2015, she was the Artistic Director of the Polish Radio Choir. In 2016-2018, she was the Conductor and Artistic Director of the Opole Philharmonic Choir. From December 2016 to April 2017, she was the Deputy Artistic Director of the Boys' Choir of the National Forum of Music. In 2017, she was Assistant Conductor in the Choir of the National Forum of Music. In January 2018, she became the Regional Curator of the Choral Academy - Singing Poland. In March 2018, she founded the Male Vocal Group I Signori. Since 2018, he has been teaching the subject "Ensemble Singing" at the Vocal Department of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. Karol Lipiński in Wrocław. In June 2021, she founded the Wrocław Women's Choir. In September 2022, she became the Artistic and Program Director of Singing Poland.

Despite her young age, her achievements include various awards: 1st place at the International Vocal Ensemble Competition Stonavská Barbórka , Honorable Mention and the Award for the Best Polish Tournament Participant during the 5th International Choir Conducting Tournament W STRONĘ POLIFONII, 3rd Prize, Special Award for Outstanding Interpretation Of Contemporary Music funded and awarded by the Department of Choirology and Ensembles of the Wroclaw Academy of Music, a Special Prize founded and awarded by the Department of Choral Conducting and the members of the Choir of the Katowice Academy of Music during the 7th International Competition of Choral Conducting W STRONĘ POLIFONII.

With the bands she leads, she has been a guest at various festivals, e.g. on: the Final Gala of Polish Music – Koryfeusz, the Warsaw Autumn Festival, Sacrum Profanum, the Witold Lutosławski Chain Festival, the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw, the Edinburgh International Festival.
She prepared choirs for CD recordings: Krzysztof Penderecki. Choral works, Próg Nadziei – In tribute to John Paul II, Litanie Ostrobramskie – Stanisław Moniuszko, Witold Lutosławski – Opera Omnia – Songs for Children, Władysław Żeleński – Janek – opera in two acts, Let there be sound.
